For the last couple weeks we have been doing an over consumption project. It was actually was a lot of fun! We got to choose from a lot different topics like over consumption of water, energy and other things like that. My group decided that we should do gasoline. Well our main topic at first was to do paper but then we decided to do gas instead. So I'm going to explain how our group showed communication skills, creative skills, critical thinking, personal responsibility, and social responsibility. For communication, our group showed that, because during our project and building our model we made sure that each of us knew what we were doing and what our goals were, I admit that we had some help from out teacher to get us started. For creative skills we showed that because we came up with a model, it might seem easy and pretty simple but for us it actually took a lot of thinking and creativity! And personally, I think our model turned out great! And as for critical thinking, we had a lot of that! We had to do a lot of problem solving in our group but once we actually got our heads together, we got past all our problems. One problem we had to overcome was what our model was going to be and how we would include our work in it and see if the numbers and how the statistics would fit in. For Personal Responsibility I think we showed some of that. Because we got put into groups and we had many chances to not work and play around but instead we decided to try and focus on our work and project. Another way we showed Personal Responsibility was when we had to split up our work and each of us had a task, it was then our responsibility to make sure we got that done! And as for Social Responsibility I think our group showed some of that. Because whenever we had group convocations or talked about ideas we would all make sure that everyone one in the group was involved and shared their opinion or idea! So there's just a couple of things that we did during our project and how we used our Cross Curricular Competencies in our project and below you can see a picture of our model!
